A backend built on Parse Server and Express: REST API, authentication with Keycloak and a search system in which AI makes decisions.
An application needed a backend that provides data through a REST API, authenticates users securely and connects to the existing Keycloak identity management. In addition, a search system was needed in which an AI model makes decisions.
The backend is based on Parse Server inside an Express application running on Node.js. I developed the REST endpoints and the authentication and connected Keycloak. For search, I built a system in which an AI model makes decisions – without retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Data storage covered PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MySQL.
