Theo manages physical theatre tickets: stock, transfers, sales and returns become traceable per performance in a booking journal.
Own software projectFocus: ticket journaling
THEATERTHEO TICKET JOURNALTICKETSISSUE / SALE / RETURN
Starting point
Physical tickets change hands between organiser, distributors and audience. It must remain traceable who received, passed on or sold how many tickets for which performance, and when. Season, dates and venues form the organisational frame.
Implementation
Theo records every ticket movement as a booking between performance, user and customer accounts. Tickets are managed as quantities without individual IDs or seat numbers and stay bound to their performance. Users record sales anonymously or assign tickets to a customer. They see only their own stock and the customers they created; admins manage seasons, dates, venues and allocations and oversee all ticket flows.
Result
A continuous journal makes issue, sale, return and allocation changes traceable. Additional tickets and returns can be requested and processed by admins. Only open tickets can be returned; customer assignments must be cancelled first. Only admins can cancel anonymous sales. Allocation reductions affect only the free performance stock. When a user is deleted, open stock and customer assignments are booked back, while sales are kept. A stored ticket price is for information; automatic financial accounting is not part of the system.
